Meizu MX4 official with 5.36-inch display 20MP Camera
Meizu MX4 is now official and comes with sleek and elegant design made of metal. It also features 5.36″ IPS display of 1152×1920 resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 protection from scratches.
Its display comes with an odd aspect ratio of 15:9 but the usual ratio will be maintained as the odd aspect ratio will be covered by soft keys on bottom. MX4 runs on heavily customized Android 4.4.4, Flyme OS4.
It is first smartphone to be powered by Mediatek MT6595 SoC which is Octa Core(2.2GHz Quad Core A17 + 1.7GHz Quad Core A7). This chip is powerful and power efficient too. Meizu MX4 is first phone to feature MT6595 SoC.
Meizu MX4 is a big smartphone which fits easily in hands thanks to narrow bezels and curved edges. It is just 8.9mm thick and 149gm heavy. It features a big 3100mAh battery from Sony. Looks like this year Meizu went to Sony for internal hardware unlike previous iteration had most of Samsung’s internals.
MX4 also packs in Sony’s 20.7 megapixel which stars in Sony’s flagshing with f/2.2 lens and a front 2 megapixel cera with wide angle f/2.0 lens. The camera has several software enhancements with live beautification mode, slow motion 30fps 720p videos, 10megapixels super burst photo mode and lots more. MX4 should have had a tad higher megapixel front camera for selfie obsessed generation. It also packs a dual tone flash for accurate color photos in dim lit environment.
MX4 has 4G and all other connectivity options expected from a flagship device from dual band WiFia/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, NFC and a bunch of sensors. MX4 16GB model in China cost ¥1,799 (about $290), whereas the 32GB flavor is ¥1,999 (about $325), and the 64GB model costs ¥2,399 (about $390).
