Android One Google dreams to bring another billion users to its Android platform, it is now embraced by Spice, Micromax and Karbonn. Google in today’s event introduced all the devices and its plan for Android One.
Android One devices will be seeing regular software updates just like Nexus devices on time directly from Google. Google also put to rest all the rumors which stated that Google will heavily subsidize the price and market the new crop of budget devices to bring revolution.
The first handset among the three being cheapest is Spice’s Dream Uno Mi-498 which will set you ₹ 6,299 or roughly $105. Next in is from Karbonn Sparkle V which will retail at ₹ 6,399 i.e nearly $107 and lastly Micromax Canvas A1 which will set back ₹ 6,499 i.e nearly $110.
All the three devices features 4.5-inch FWVGA Display, 1GB RAM and Quad Core 1.3GHz Mediatek CPU with Mali 400 GPU. In terms of camera also all three have same 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera combo along with LED Flash. Dual SIM and Android KitKat 4.4.4 is available in all three devices.
Basically all three devices have same hardware specification as they feature same 4GB Internal Storage and SD Card slot. The cloud storage from Google Drive is 35GB and Spice is bundling another 10GB of Spice Cloud for its Dream Uno Mi-498. All three have same 1700mAh battery too so there is just change in appearance rest of the specification remains same.
All these devices are available for sale from e-tailers and are expected to hit retail stores in coming weeks for festive season. Airtel is bundling 200MB data every month for Play Store downloads and app updates.
