Guide on How to Root Micromax Canvas A1 Easily
Before you proceed any further make sure to charge your device above 30%, though we recommend a full charged device before rooting.
Step -2: Make Sure Device Model No
Check the model number of device and make sure you have correct model or device for which the guide is prepared. Be warned before using this guide with any other product from same brand or different brand.
This guide is for Micromax Canvas A1 on all carries and variants only.
Step -1: Read Advantages and Disadvantages of Rooting
Step 0: Backup your Device
Necessary as this process will wipe everything so before hand make a backup and keep it on PC or external SD card. A backup is always recommended.

Step 2: Download USB Drivers, Recovery and SuperSu.zip
Step 3: Open ADB Connect your phone
Enable USB Debugging on your handset by going into Settings>About and tapping the Build Number seven times. Then go to Setting>Developer Options and check the USB Debugging Box.
Open ADB on PC and connect Phone and type adb devices . If it shows a device attached you are good to go. It may show more than one device in case you are running bluestacks so close it first than proceed further.
Rename the downloaded recovery file to recovery.img and move it to folder where adb tools are located and issue following commands one by one. This will wipe everything from phone so backup everything you need as your phone will return to fresh state.
- adb reboot bootloader
- fastboot oem unlock
- fastboot oem unlock
- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- fastboot reboot
Now simply transfer the download SuperSU.zip to your device using data cable and reboot to recovery by entering
- adb reboot recovery
In recovery use volume button or soft key to scroll and select Install.zip and browse to place where you transferred your SuperSu.zip
Flash it and reboot and you will have root access.
Verify Root Access
To verify root access by installing the Root Check from Play Store.
