HTC Desire 616 was HTC efforts to strengthen the grip that it lost on mid range device. HTC Desire 616 is a very capable device and good performer although some power users may crave for root privilege. So this is a brief tutorial on How To Root HTC Desire 616.

  Step 1: Download USB Drivers and Root Tools

  Step 2: Enable USB Debugging and Connect your phone

Enable USB Debugging on your handset by going into Settings>About and tapping the Build Number seven times. Then go to Setting>Developer Options and check the USB Debugging Box. 

Open Root Tool you downloaded in first step on PC and connect Phone.

  Step 3: Open Root Tools and Root

Open Root Genius on PC and check the box accepting terms and agreement and proceed to Root your device. Your phone may reboot. After completing the process simply reboot once again and now you shall have superuser access.

To verify root access by installing the Root Check from   Play Store.
