HTC brings Desire 820, 820q and 516C to India
HTC has gone a step ahead in right direction compared to Samsung with launch of One M8 Eye at ₹38,990, but HTC wasn’t done here. They launched not one or two but three handsets Desire 820, Desire 820q and 516C at competitive price tags.
HTC Desire 516C
HTC Desire 516C is the cheapest among the group of handsets with 5″ qHD display, Snapdragon 200 Quad Core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal memory and external sd card support upto 32GB. It also support Dual SIM GSM+CDMA which is a plus as CDMA Android lovers have limited options in India and with CDMA connectivity it aims to target the niche.
HTC Desire 516C has a decent 5-megapixels camera with Led flash and just a VGA front camera. HTC could have used better optics honestly, and the device has 1950mAh battery to make sure device doesn’t sleep before you do. All the general bunch of connectivity options are present along with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. This device supports Blinkfeed too but HTC hasn’t listed the Android version or Sense information for this device.

HTC Desire 820 and 820q
HTC Desire 820 is HTC finest mid range phablet with 64bit Snapdragon 615 Octa Core CPU with 4 cores running at 1.5GHz and rest 4 cores at 1GHz. This device also has 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage along with massive 5.5″ 720p Display. It runs on Sense 6 with Android Kitkat and Lollipop upgrade arriving soon.
HTC Boom Sound stereo speakers are also present to make music playback outstanding. The rear camera is 13-megapixels with F/2.2 lens and strong flash. The front camera is no less with 8-megapixels resolution it will be possible to capture your selfies with utmost details. The battery inside is 2600mAh which should suffice an average day usage. The multicolored unibody design will attract youth toward this massive phone and at a price of ₹ 24,990 it is fairly priced keeping Xiaomi out of mind.
HTC Desire 820q is generally the same as Desire 820 outside but with few hardware changes inside its got “q” tag infront of its name. The letter stands for Quad Core as HTC Desire 820q is powered by Snapdragon 400 Quad Core CPU running at 1.2GHz and has 1GB RAM. There’s also one more difference and that’s the inclusion of Dual SIM connectivity. Rest of specification and features are same from camera to display and everything Desire 820q is price ₹22,500 which is little higher comparing it to HTC Desire 820.
