Apple iOS 8.1 update live for iOS 8 devices
Apple has started roll out of Apple iOS 8.1 as the recent major update had several serious issues and needed a fix asap. Currently the update is live and rolling out worldwide to iOS 8 supported devices.
If you have a supported Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad simply go to Settings > General > Software update and you can see the new version awaiting your confirmation.
The update brings support for Apple Pay feature to iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as announced during iPhone 6 launch. Apple Pay is new digital wallet which incorporates NFC for seamless payments and fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. Apple Pay is currently a nurturing technology and has some great potential.
Apart from Apple Pay there is host of bug fixes, new feature for Photos application in form of iCloud Photo Library as beta service, new Camera Roll Album and My Photo Stream Album as well as alerts for low memory in case you record time-lapse videos. Messaging app has gained the much requested receive message from iPhone on iPad and Mac.
iOS 8 left users with no option to switch cellular network but now again users get to decide what’s best for them 2G, 3G and LTE and refer the image for comprehensive list of change log.
