Just like Moto X 2nd Gen, Moto G 2nd Gen is receiving the Android Lollipop test build. All users aren’t that lucky as its being rolled out to selective few in order to collect info about any major bugs still remaining in the build.

Guide on How to Flash Android Lollipop on Moto G 2nd Gen
Before you proceed any further make sure to charge your device above 30%, though we recommend a full charged device before rooting.
Make Sure Device Model No
Check the model number of device and make sure you have correct model or device for which the guide is prepared. Be warned before using this guide with any other product from same brand or different brand.
This guide is for Moto G 2nd Gen US XT-1064 only.
Step 0: Backup your Device
Not necessary as this process will not wipe anything so before hand make a backup and keep it on PC or external SD card. A backup is always recommended.
Step 1: Setup ADB and Fastboot
Follow this guide on How to Setup ADB and Fastboot to setup ADB and if before you have used ADB skip to next step.
Step 2: Download Moto X Lollipop OTA

Step 3: Open ADB Connect your phone
Enable USB Debugging on your handset by going into Settings>About and tapping the Build Number seven times. Then go to Setting>Developer Options and check the USB Debugging Box.
Open ADB on PC and connect Phone and type adb devices . If it shows a device attached you are good to go. It may show more than one device in case you are running bluestacks so close it first than proceed further.
Rename the downloaded file to ota.zip and move it to folder where adb tools are located and issue the commands given below by connecting phone to PC.
- adb reboot recovery
- adb sideload ota.zip
Now simply wait for the OTA to flash and after successful flashing reboot the phone and enjoy Android Lollipop 5.0
