Asus Zenfone 5 Lite

Asus Zenfone has been selling like hot cakes especially Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 and now Asus has launched Lite version of Zenfone 5 with model number A502CG.

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite has 5-inch qHD 960×540, IPS Display, Intel Atom Z2520 clocked at 1.2 GHz and 1GB of RAM. It also runs on Android Kitkat 4.4 with Zen UI customizations. In terms of connectivity there’s 42 Mbps HSPA, along with dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The rear camera is 8-megapixels from PixelMaster and has LED Flash but the front camera is downgraded to 0.3-megapixels i.e. VGA resolution. Zenfone 5 Lite comes with 2500mAh battery.

Compared to Zenfone 5 it has lower resolution display i.e. qHD vs HD Display, CPU is clocked lower, 1GB RAM compared to 2GB on original Zenfone 5 and low resolution front camera. Oddly the battery inside new Zenfone 5 Lite is bigger i.e 2500 mAh and hence device is thicker and heavier.

Currently Zenfone 5 Lite is available only in Philippines in Charcoal Black,Pearl White and Cherry Red colors at PHP 5,595 which translates to $124 or €99. It will be launched in other south Asian countries soon with India launch in December at an approximate price of ₹ 7,499.
