Lenovo get aggresive with K3 $100 smartphone to compete Redmi 1S
Lenovo is worlds largest personal computers brand in the world and now it has aimed to cause a storm in smartphone market and their primary competition is world third largest and China top smartphone brand Xiaomi. Lenovo has aimed to strike the root of Xiaomi by targeting their ultra budget smartphone Redmi 1S and has launched a better competitor named Lenovo K3 at just Yuan 599 ($100) in China.
Lenovo K3 packs a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixel IPS display, Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 64-bit processor, clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB RAM. It comes with Android 4.4 with Vibe UI 2.0 on top. There’s also LTE network connectivity and 16GB internal storage with support for external microSD card.
These budget beast also packs 8-megapixels rear camera from Sony with LED flash and a 2-megapixels front camera. There’s also dual SIM card support, 4G LTE. 3G. 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi. There’s a 2300mAh battery under the hood and its known as K3 Lemon in China hence it comes in Yellow color. The device measures 141 x 70.5 x 7.9mm and weighs just 128 grams.

Lenovo K3 definitely is better than Redmi 1S and is bound to make a splash but if Lenovo managed to add an extra GB of RAM instead of 16GB internal memory it would have just killed the competition, still with these set of specs its definitely the best smartphone for its price. If Lenovo manages to maintain price and supply in other Asian markets it will surely hurt Xiaomi.
