Mi Note and Note Pro Unveiled with 5.7-inch Display starting CNY2299/$370
Mi has today unveiled two new phablets named Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, to take over the premium phablet segment. It has been seen in past that Xiaomi has always been successful due to perfect blend of specs, features and price.
Mi Note is 5.7-inch phablet with 1080p display sourced from Sharp/JDI. It has something called 3D curved Gorilla Glass 3 with metal frame providing premium look and feel to device. Rest of important specs include Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz, Adreno 330, 3GB RAM, 13-megapixels IMX 214 rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and 4-megapixels front camera with large 2-micron pixels just like HTC One’s Ultrapixel camera.
In terms of connectivity it packs Cat 4 LTE upto 150mbps, Dual Band WiFi ac, GPS, Glonass, WiFi Direct, DLNA, NFC, Bletooth 4.0 and dual sim. It also has Hi-Fi audio system, 24-bit/192KHz lossless playback support. It comes in two variants one with 16GB costing CNY 2,299/$370 and another is 64GB version costing CNY 2,799/$451.
It will be available in China initially with pre-orders beginning on 20th January and shipping starting 27th January.
Mi Note Pro
Mi Note Pro is identical to Mi Note but has mostly improved internals. The display is QHD resolution with 515ppi, chipset is Snapdragon 810 64bit Octa Core CPU (Quad Core Cortex-A57 at 2.0GHz and Quad Core Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz) and 4GB of RAM.
As for camera and other specs its almost same but adds 4G LTE Cat 9 offering speeds upto 450mbps and it runs on Android Lollipop with just custom Mi Launcher as MIUI 6 is not yet ported to Android Lollipop. This devices will be available in just 64GB internal memory variant with no sd card slot. Both devices have a 3000mAh battery and measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.95 mm.
It will also be available in China initially with pre-orders beginning on 20th January and shipping starting 27th January and it will cost CNY 3,299 ($532).
