Oppo has unveiled a solid looking phablet named Oppo U3 in China. It has been in news from November but now the final device is launched by company. It is a 5.9-inch phablet with powerful Octa Core CPU and 4G LTE.
U3 will come with 5.9-inch FullHD 1080p display and will run Oppo proprietary ColorOS in China. It is powered by Mediatek TruOcta Core chipset MT6752 (1.7GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Mali-T760MP2 graphics) and 2GB of RAM.
Beside being a device with huge display Oppo U3 packs a 13-megapixels camera with 4x Optical Zoom and 4k video capture. The front camera is no less at 5-megapixels for perfect selfies and HD video chats. Moreover both the cameras have a dedicated flash so low light selfies and photography is U3’s speciality.
In terms of connectivity it includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi ac, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and DLNA. It also houses a dedicated AK4961 audio chip, and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded with sd card slot.
Oppo U3 is scheduled for launch a day before Xiaomi upcoming flagship on 14th January, 2015. Currently pricing is unknown along with details on availability but you can be assured that mystery will be solved in next few days.
