The smartphone market in India a few years ago was not at all the fighting ground but with Android things have changed rapidly and now world’s second largest populated country is the place every smartphone vendor is looking to capitalize.
After giving new life to Motorola and helping Xiaomi, Asus and several other brands to establish a strong foothold outside their homeland, it has came in UMI sight as the exclusive online model is working well. UMI is in talks with India’s largest etailer Flipkart to launch UMI Zero.
Earlier UMI has tried to penetrate Indian market but with delayed shipments and other hassles wasn’t able to conduct operations but with Flipkart half the issues will be solved immediately.
UMI Zero has slim profile at just 6.4mm, -inch Super AMOLED Full HD Display with Gorilla Glass 3, 2.0GHz Octa-Core MTK6592 Turbo Chipset, 2GB of RAm, 16/64 GB internal storage with external card slot, Dual SIM and runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.
The device features Sony IMX 214 13-megapixels camera sensor with flash and 8-megapixels selfie aka front camera. It also host a massive 2780 mAh battery and is still just 140 grams with metallic reinforced frame and glass panel in back. It also includes a 3-amp charger to charge phone in an hour which again is a plus.
