Opera Mini gets much needed UI Revamp on Android

Opera Mini V8Opera Mini was the browser that won a million hearts as it offered great browsing even on slow network, but as smartphone screen grew in size it lost it to competition and poor layout in modern smartphone.

 

Now on its 10-year birthday it has finally being updated which was much needed. It changes the UI completely and brings several new features including the private window facility. It looks well on high resolution displays and even has tablet UI.

Although the app has been updated it still support devices on Android 2.3 which is great as almost a third of Android users are still on it. The UI adapts to Material UI and retains the speed dials. Download of big files can be postponed until you have WiFi network to save carrier charges and syncing of bookmarks is still in order. It also has a discover feature which curates trending news articles from all around the web.

Users still using Opera Mini can update to the latest Opera Mini version 8 from Play Store or those who have moved past it can give it a try once again by downloading it from here.
