LG G4 Launched with Snapdragon 808 and QHD Quantum Display
LG has improved the smartphone lineup with LG G2 introduction, while G3 had its fair share of issues but it was overall a great device. Now LG G4 will carry the flasghip torch and fight with mighty Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9.
LG G4 is unique in its own ways. Its design language is different with curved back design helping in handling phone with ease and optional real leather back panel dyed with food colors and stitched to make it fashionable. Certainly it is one of the best looking smartphones. It borrows the key layout which is comfortably position below rear camera, perfectly in place for your index finger.
LG has also made pretty bold claims regarding the 16-megapixels 3-axis OIS camera in back, combined with Laser focus tech and f/1.8 aperture. It supports an array of different modes including manual mode with histogram and support for image capture in RAW format. It does support QHD video capture and has a 8-megapixels front camera which is as capable as rear camera.
It also sports a Quantum QHD 5.5-inch Display which is 98% DCI compliant, a 64-bit Snapdragon 808 Hexa Core SoC (Dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A57 & quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53) with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB RAM. The internal storage is just 32GB with external card slot. It supports upto 128GB external microSD cards which should be more than enough for your storage needs.
Android Lollipop 5.1 with LG Optimus UX 4.0 customization keeps it smart, while the WiFi Dual Band a/b/g/n/ac, Cat 6 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, Glonass make sure it doesn’t lack any connectivity options. It also has an IR blaster just in case you decided to use it as a universal remote.
LG G4 will be available in an array of different colors including Gold, Titanium Grey and White colored plastic back panels and different leather colored panels. It also supports Wireless Charging although it will require another compatible back panel, which is to be purchased separately. Quick Circle flip covers are supported as well enabling you to complete basic task without uncovering your smartphone.
LG G4 is already up for pre-orders in UK starting at £500 for plastic variant and £529.87 for stiched black leather version at Expansys, Clove, Amazon and various other retailers. It will be available in last week of May in UK and will be gradually rolled out globally.
