Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Note7 yesterday and it has got some cool upgrades which will seduce the existing Galaxy Note users to own the new beast in town.
The Galaxy Note7 carries the same 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with dual edge just like of S7 Edge and the design language is more or less like the Note5 with less rounded corners.
The S-Pen has been improved and the whole device is now water resistant with IP68 certification even with the S-Pen out. There are cool new S-Pen features one of which is to crop a video to obtain a gif image which are in trend nowadays.
Also the optics department has been enhanced with f/1.7 12-megapixels rear camera with Smart OIS and dual tone LED flash and a f/1.7 5-megapixels front camera, Note7 can now capture beautiful snaps even in unfavourable lighting conditions.
An Iris Scanner makes its futuristic which the now standard fingerprint sensor is also included. A Dual SIM variant for Asian markets is still available and internal storage is doubled to 64GB UFS 2.0. Also Galaxy Note7 is capable of handling memory cards and includes USB Type C as well.
The chipset inside is Snapdragon 820 for Western continents while the Exynos 8820 for the Asian and some European countries as well as wide global rollout. The 4GB RAM and 3500 mAh battery will make sure you can multitask without thinking of battery.
As for the launch the Galaxy Note7 is now on preorder in USA and early adopters are to get Samsung Gear Fit 2 or a 256GB memory card. The device is scheduled to launch on 11th August in India.
The UK price of Galaxy Note7 is £699 and US price is $850 unlocked. All major carriers including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless will offer Galaxy Note7 on contract. The Indian price for Galaxy Note7 is yet to be made official but the price as per current indications suggest it to be somewhere around Rs 58,990 – Rs 62,990.
