Xiaomi Mi 5C Announced with Pinecone Surge S1 Chipset Priced ₹13999

Xiaomi has been long rumoured to launch its own range of Pinecone chipset and now not only they have officially unveiled their first ever chipset but also a phone that comes with it.

The handset in question is Xiaomi Mi5C and the processor named is Pinecone Surge S1. Surge 1 is an octa core SoC of which four cores are clocked at 2.2 GHz and rest four at 1.4GHz.

Xiaomi Mi5c is a 5.15-inch Full HD device which is feature loaded and looks the part too. With sleek metal unibody at back and stylish curved glass in the front it does hold its own.

The display of Mi5c is 550-nits bright and is manufactured by JDI. It also comes with reading mode and upto 2048 different brightness level.

Mi5c comes with 12MP rear camera with 1.25μm pixel size and led flash while 8-megapixels front camera satisfy the selfie lovers.

Currently it runs on MIUI8 on top of Android 6, while the Android 7.1 Noughat update will be available sometime in March.

Mi5c measures just 7.09mm and has 2560 mAh battery and comes with fast charging at 9volts/2AMP. It also has dual sim connectivity with support for both voice and video calls over LTE.

Usual bunch of sensors are available including gyroscope for VR support and fingerprint sensor. 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage make sure it is relevant as per todays standard.

Mi5C comes in Rose Gold, Gold and Black color options and is priced RMB 1499(Approx ₹13999) in China.
