Samsung has officially launched Galaxy A3 & A5 in a bid to add the lost charisma in mid range smartphone which once were Samsung territory. Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 carries on the design language of Samsung Galaxy Alpha but at an affordable price.
Samsung Galaxy A3 is the affordable of two with less punch in its hardware. It packs a 4.5″ qHD Super AMOLED display along with 1.2GHz Quad Core CPU. There’s 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage in device with optional sd card slot. Galaxy A3 also features 8-megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixels front camera for beautiful selfies. Galaxy A3 measures 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9mm and weighs just 110 grams . The battery inside is 1900mAh.
While on the other hand Galaxy A5 is more on premium side with 5″ HD Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz Quad Core CPU coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with optional sd card slot. In terms of optics it has 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixels rear camera. Its thinner than A3 and measures just 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7mm with compact design and is as light as sheets of paper with 123 grams. It also has a bigger 2300mAh battery.
Both the devices features wide range of connectivity options with 4G LTE Cat4 150mbps speed, HSPA+ 42.2mbps, WiFi b/g/n (A5 features a/b/g/n), GPS, GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.0 LE with ANT+ support. This two devices comes with Samsung Touchwiz skinned Android Kitkat 4.4.4.
Galaxy A3 and A5 will be available in China, India and other select countries across Europe and Asia in November. Pricing details are yet to be known but A3 and A5 will be available in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold colors and will features metallic rim instead of fake metallic chrome finish.
